Porters’ Progress UK

our mission:

Porters Progress’ UK facilitates the safe treatment, education and empowerment of adult and child trekking and commercial porters and their communities through appropriate programmes, with priority given to creating change within the trekking industry.

our vision:

From our inception we have believed that a true and durable solution to the problems that porters face can only come from porters themselves.  Accordingly it is our vision the Porters’ Progress projects around the world will ultimately be self-sustaining, independently operated organisations - of, by and for mountain porters.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

You can help support the trekking porters and their communities through donation, volunteering and simply by being aware of the issues thousands of porters face.
