BLUE HUE (7 mins)

Bluehue explores a swimmers experience of year round submersion in the cold mountain lakes of Snowdonia. The lakes offer an environment of space and solitude strengthening a connection with the surrounding landscape, both above and below the surface.

K2 AND THE INVISIBLE FOOTMEN
(54 mins)

In K2 AND THE INVISIBLE FOOTMEN, filmmaker Iara Lee and her team chronicle the lives of the indigenous porters of Gilgit/Baltistan in Pakistan. These heroes of mountaineering make possible the ascent of K2, the second highest mountain in the world. Amid breathtaking scenery, the film depicts the courage and everyday sacrifices of these unacknowledged porters. It also provides a fresh look into Pakistan, a country typically portrayed in the foreign media as being merely a land of conflict and sectarian strife.

SUILVEN: THE TRAIL RUNNER (5 mins)

Filmed on the amazing Suilven Mountain in the Assynt region of the Highlands of Scotland, “Suilven: The Trail Runner” is a short film following Tom as he runs out of the sleepy town of Lochinver, leaving civilisation behind and into the desolate and remote countryside, up onto one of the most distinctive mountains in Scotland. We follow him across the moorland, through the bogs and lochan before journeying onto the ridge, looking out to the Atlantic Ocean and descending to the south and visiting the Falls of Kirkaig as he leaves the mountain behind.

INTERVAL & RAFFLE (40 mins)

GOING UP (7 mins)

Jen Randall goes into the Scottish mountains with three of her favourite outdoorsy people to find out just what motivates them to trudge up hills.

OPERATION MOFFAT (20 mins)
Winner – Festival Selection

Operation Moffat takes inspiration and wit from the colourful climbing life of Britian’s First Female Mountain Guide Gwen Moffat. Writer Claire Carter and Filmmaker Jen Randall scramble, swim and barefoot climb through Gwen’s most cherished British landscapes, grappling with her preference for mountains over people, adventure over security, wilderness over tick lists. With new take on landscape photography, archive footage and action sequences this is a film rooted in a real love of wild places.

SHOWDOWN AT HORSESHOE HELL (20 mins)

24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell (24HHH) is the wildest event in the climbing world; a mash-up of ultramarathon and burning man where elite climbers and gumbies alike go for broke in a sun up-to-sun up orgy of lactic acid and beer. But all fun aside, the competition is real: can the team of Nik Berry and Mason Earle stand up against the all-powerful Alex Honnold?
